Today we will learn different words for unique finds of activities.
First of all, let's recall the main definitions about jobs.
JOB - the regular work that person does to earn money
OCCUPATION - (formal) a person's job
WORK - an activity, such as a job, which a person uses physical or mental effort to do, ussually to earn money
We already know several ordinary popular jobs like: a doctor, a police officer, a firefighter, a postman, a cook, a nurce, a pilot, a teacher and many others.
But now we will talk about very unusual occupations.Let's see several examples.
Astronomer - a person who use the laws of physics and mathematics to learn about the nature of matter and energy throughout the universe
Geographer - a person who study nature and use of areas of earth's surface, relating and
interpreting interactions of physical and cultural phenomena, human
activities within given area, such as ethnic distribution, economic
activity, and political organization.
Professional Referee - a person who is in charge of watching every aspect of the game to make sure it's played according to the rules.
Locomotive Firer - this profession monitors locomotive instruments and watch for dragging
equipment, obstacles on rights-of-way, and train signals during run.
Radio Operator - a person who's job is to receive and transmit communications using radiotelegraph or
radiotelephone equipment in accordance with government regulations they
also may repair equipment.
